Frequently asked questions
What is a Unix timestamp?
It is the number of seconds elapsed since 00:00:00 UTC on January 1, 1970, excluding leap seconds.
Does this support milliseconds?
Yes. Large epoch values are treated as milliseconds, and both seconds and milliseconds are shown in the result.
Which timezone is used?
Timestamp input is absolute. Results show both UTC and your browser's local timezone. Date input uses the local timezone shown beside the field.
