Frequently asked questions

What does 16:9 mean?

For every 16 units of width, the image has 9 units of height. Common examples include 1920 × 1080 and 1280 × 720.

How is a ratio simplified?

Both dimensions are divided by their greatest common divisor. Decimal dimensions are approximated for a practical display ratio.

Does this resize a file?
